Making music with a small footprint, HANJŌ embodies David Minton’s journey into electronic music. The artist is based in Tokyo, a city defined by spatial constraints, HANJŌ emerged in 2020 as a contained explorative framework. The name itself, drawn from the Japanese word that means "a half tatami mat," encapsulates the concept and minimal ethos. Through HANJŌ, David weaves soundscapes that pursue resorfulness and simplicity, offering listeners a unique sonic identity to connect with.
